I EPER Connect is the first conference organized by EPER Working Group under the European Society of Criminology. Our Aim is to bring together early-career researchers in the field of Criminology from across Europe, as well as senior academics, to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, create potential professional networks and promote the EPER working group of the European Society of Criminology. The conference aims to provide a space where emerging researchers can present their work, interact with mentors and contribute to the European research community.

The I EPER Connect conference aims to be an inaugural event for the renewed EPER working group within the European Society of Criminology. The goal is to create a space dedicated to early-career researchers in the field of criminology, where they can share their work, exchange ideas, and develop new forms of collaboration between research areas, institutions, and national contexts. Rather than focusing on a single theme, the conference emphasises connection and dialogue as its central theme. By bringing together postgraduate researchers engaged in different fields of criminological research, I EPER Connect aims to promote exchange and mutual support among the next generation of scholars. The rationale behind this initiative lies in the recognition that early-career researchers often have few opportunities to present their work to peers to build interdisciplinary networks at an international level. By offering a free and accessible online platform, the conference provides an inclusive environment in which participants can enhance the visibility of their research, develop their academic skills and engage in constructive scientific discussions. Therefore, the I EPER Connect aims to strengthen the European community of emerging criminologists by promoting a more interconnected, supportive and forward-looking research landscape.
